NEWTOWN, CONNECTICUT, October 18, 2023The Independent Carton Group (ICG), an association of 20 independently owned and operated folding carton manufacturers, is pleased to announce it voted OlymPak Printing and Packaging of Mora, Minnesota, into the association during their general meeting September 8th to 10th, 2023 at Diamond Packaging in Rochester, New York.

OlymPak Printing and Packaging (www.olympak.com) produces a wide variety of printing and packaging products, including folding and formed cartons, flexible packaging, and labels. The company was founded by Jon Miner and is still family-owned and operated by Kim and Mark Miner. The company’s initial success was in producing and distributing the popular children’s product, Mello Smello™ scratch and smell stickers, which are still loved by millions of people around the world. From those fun beginnings, the company grew organically, and through acquisition, into the printing and packaging powerhouse it currently is.

OlymPak has a long history of serving industry-leading companies, including top retail chains, food manufacturers, the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, and many other CPG companies. OlymPak is impressively USDA certified, Safe Quality Food (SQF) certified, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified, American Institute of Baking (AIB) certified, Graphic Measures International (GMI) certified, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, and G7 certified. As a woman-owned company with HubZone certification, OlymPak has gained recognition as one of the premier printing and packaging companies in the Midwest.

OlymPak, which employs over 140 people, is a division of MinMor Industries, LLC, an integrated manufacturing and marketing company that produces packaging and promotional materials internationally. The current generation of ownership is looking forward to growing the business and sees membership in the ICG as a step toward furthering that goal.

“For many years we have been aware of the outstanding value ICG members gain from being part of this group”, says Mark Miner, “and one of the key benefits we are looking for is the assurance of backup production support, providing our customers with the peace of mind that we will always be able to deliver the products and services they are accustomed to getting from us.” Kim Miner continues, “We look forward to growing our business with other family-owned businesses and like-minded people that make the ICG so successful.”
